Do Your Part - Replace Divots and Carry Sand Bottle
Golfers make divots when they swing a golf club and tear off a piece of grass during the contact of hitting the golf ball. Golf etiquette states that the golfer should replace the divot by locating the grass divot and placing it back into the indention of the swing. By taking care of the golf course, you are assisting in the maintenance of the golf course, which will result in a better and more enjoyable playing experience for you and fellow golfers.

In the event that the piece of grass cannot be replaced, filling a divot with sand and seed is another acceptable method to be used after a divot is made. The proper application of sand and seed is to be filled in the divot, and smoothed on the surface. Golfers are encouraged to have a sand and seed bottle while playing. The Sudden Valley Golf & Country Club has sand and seed stations throughout the golf course for golfers to fill their bottles. These stations can be found near the starter shack, 6 th tee, 14 th tee, all par 3 tees, and the practice range tee.

Let's all do our part in creating and maintaining an enjoyable playing experience for all.
